Ambassadors in Sport brings hope through football by being Christian agents of transformation which includes offering a mentoring service to football people. This service is for all football people (whether they have a faith or not and whether they are still participating in football or not) including players, coaches or administrators at any level i.e. youth, amateur, semi-pro, pro and high profile. Mentoring is available from Ambassadors staff members, volunteers along with a network of church and specialised partner organisations.

A football mentor is an agent of transformation in the world of football.  The mentor begins with the individual in order to help them integrate their love of football with God's love for people (as revealed in the Bible) physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. Thus a Ambassadors football mentor seeks to achieve the integration of a biblical worldview into football and the whole of life for the football person.
Football is viewed by Ambassadors in Sport as an integral part of life and the mentor seeks to provide support when a football person is challenged spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally or socially. As football people are holistically transformed by this integrated approach, the mentor encourages them to become influencers within football culture, acting as agents of transformation in all activities and relationships on and off the pitch.
Purpose of the Ambassadors Mentoring programme:
We support football people with unconditional love, helping them to grow into whole life maturity during their football life and beyond by:
Ÿ
helping the football person to see football and faith as potential integral parts of life
Ÿ
walking with the people of football in loving and nurturing relationships
Ÿ
releasing the people of football into an authentic God given assignment for their lives
Our long term goal is to:
Ÿ
Cultivate whole life ministry to the people of football in each country and people group worldwide.
Ÿ
Nurture a worldwide network of mentors to plan, resource and serve the total wellness of the people of football for transformation of their lives, their sport and their communities.
Ÿ
Encourage the integration of faith in football by developing broader training and materials addressing the issues of football people in sport and life.
Ÿ
Help churches to understand how to minister to the heart of the football person.
Ÿ
Equip football people to grow into maturity to demonstrate a spiritual walk in football and life.
“Supporting” the people of football means:
Ÿ
Establishing long-term relationships (even after football) that put the needs of the people of football ahead of the desires and agenda of Ambassadors in Sport.
