Ambassadors In Sport recognise that football clubs form the framework and provide the essential support for the game from grassroots up to the highest professional level.
The club concept has been fundamental in our development as an organisation and has been central to our  methodology. When Ambassadors In Sport was established in 1990 in the UK, our first club was formed.
Bolton Ambassadors FC started life in the Bolton and District Sunday league with a men's open-age team. Defeats by more than ten goals were not unusual in those early days, but the club has since gone from strength to strength and now runs men's, ladies and junior teams in well established county and local leagues.
Today our involvement in ‘Club’ spreads the full breadth of team football from 5-a-side up to 11-a-side, from amateur level, up to semi pro and professional Clubs.
As part of the club setup, ‘Football in the Community’ schemes are developed, with its chief aim being to support the local community. As each FINC scheme is established, it takes on its own identity based on the needs of that area, ranging from schools involvement, mentoring, youth leagues and youth clubs to programmes that work with homeless  people, ‘at risk’ young men and women and those removed from school.
At the heart of our vision is a desire to model football clubs that are run with    excellence, working with the governing bodies of the game we aim to demonstrate that transformation can be effective in our communities through running teams and football in the community schemes.
Our experience has taught us that the wider the scope of activities the club is   involved in, the wider the influence the club can have in their communities. As part of our Associate Club Scheme we offer training in the running of:
